Texas is the second-largest state in our country with over 5.5 million students. Today, just 21% of Texas students living in low-income communities obtain a postsecondary degree, compared to 67% of students from our nation’s most affluent communities. This is not for lack of ambition or talent, but for lack of opportunity and support.

But looking back on that day, I realize we would have missed out on so much growth, improvement, and resources if we had said no! So my advice to you is to just do it!”

In Texas, 77% of OneGoal high school graduates enroll in a postsecondary institution and 80% of those persist in their education one year after high school graduation. In partnership with OneGoal, Northbrook High School delivers on their mission to support students’ college and career readiness. A student at Northbrook participating in the OneGoal Program is two times more likely to enroll in a postsecondary pathway.
