OneGoal in New York Welcomes new member to Board of Directors

NEW YORK, NY, November 11, 2022 – OneGoal, a leading national college access and success organization, has welcomed the President of Mudrick Capital Management, L.P. Tom Bachner, to the Board of Directors for the New York region.

As a board member, Mr. Bachner will advise OneGoal New York on growth strategy and resource development as it seeks to serve more students throughout the region.

“I’m very excited to join the OneGoal-New York regional Board of Directors. The OneGoal mission to close the degree divide and create equity in college access is critical, especially today. I am looking forward to using my years of experience in strategy and organizational leadership to help OneGoal New York achieve its ambitious 2025 Strategic Plan.”

Before Mudrick, Bachner spent 19 years at Bridgewater Associates, most recently as Global Head of Institutional Partnerships. Bachner also served in the U.S. government for ten years in a variety of intelligence-related roles. He served three tours in Eastern Europe, including two years in Bosnia as part of the NATO peacekeeping mission.

After leaving government service and earning an MBA from the University of Texas-Austin, Mr. Bachner was a strategy consultant for Arthur D. Little, focused on corporate financial strategy. He received a BA in political science with a focus on Soviet-American relations from Yale College, where he was a member of the varsity hockey team for three years.
